Los Angeles County. Rear-end auto collision. The Plaintiff was waiting at a red light when her vehicle was rear-ended by the Defendant. The Plaintiff experienced neck and back pain and received physical therapy, MRIs, and an epidural steroid injection. She was also recommended for neck surgery but never underwent the procedure. State Farm would not offer to settle the claim in pre-litigation opting instead for a lawsuit and discovery related to the Plaintiff's medical history. The case settled for the policy limits after the first set of written discovery was completed.
