Los Angeles County. Car accident. Plaintiff was legally parked on the side of the road when his vehicle was struck by the Defendant's vehicle. The Defendant was driving within the course and scope of his employment for a corporation. Defendant was recklessly speeding and lost control of his vehicle which resulted in the collision. Plaintiff suffered a head injury, spinal cord injury, and multiple bone fractures. He underwent surgery in the hospital to his spinal cord which preserved his ability to walk. The case was litigated for two years and ultimately settled two weeks before trial was set to begin.
